The duku panjang or long blade parangs are ready and now available. Due to a busy schedule, I have had to delay uploading the pics and details on our parangs for sale page. Here are some pics for comparison purposes. The duku panjang are great all round user parang.
I will be re-introducing a few new local parang designs at Sepuh Crafts. These parang designs are not something I created myself but are based upon existing designs used by locals in Malaysia. A few of the designs have already been on Sepuh Crafts in the past. Due to several inquiries, I have decided to revive them again.
A new batch of Sepuh Crafts parangs are now ready for sale. To view the parangs, prices and other details, please click on the Picasa Album link. The link will bring you to Sepuh Crafts picture album where you can see each individual parang available. Each album consists of pictures of a particular parang number. Note also that we now have the longer, slimmer parang duku for sale. All the tangs of the parangs are double pinned and cured in slow setting epoxy inside the wooden handle.
Sale of the parang is strictly on a first come first serve basis. You can write to us via our Contact Us page for more information on Sepuh Crafts parangs and other Malaysian locally made crafts.
We are trying our best to make sure we get at least a lot of parang each month to cope with the demand and request. This time around, we not only have the Parang Candongs but also Parang Duku (it is called many names actually). The parangs are now being sent to the workshop for installation of brass pins as linseed treatment on the wood.
